The Traditional Jujitsu Syllabus - Yellow Belt
Elbow Strikes - Upward Strike
These two techniques are used in close contact fighting, the first using an upward strike with you elbow.
1.
For the first strike, thrust your right elbow up to your attackers chin. Try to keep your right hand near your right shoulder.
2.
Many Ju-Jitsu techniques rely on good footwork to be effective. For this technique you should twist on the ball of your right foot, this will enable you to get more momentum in the strike.
Elbow Strikes - Cross Strike
The second elbow strike is to strike across your opponents face.
1.
The second strike is performed again with your right elbow, but this time to the side of your attackers head.
2.
As with the previous technique, be sure to twist on the ball of your right foot.
