I've been looking into starting martial arts for some time now as a means of improving my self confidence, for fitness and self defence. I am very interested in doing Brazilian Ju-Jitsu but am finding it hard to find clubs in Essex. I have found one on the other side of London but it seems a bit of a trek when I have a Jikishin club 5 minutes from my house. What are the main differences between Brazilian and Jikishin, and is it going to be worth making the trip across London? Also, does anyone know any closer clubs to me (Romford) then SW London? Thanks.
