Thought you were not into MMA? why the change of thought?

Are you supplementing the BJJ training with 'standing' footwork & striking drills (focus pad work), & takedowns (sparring judo / wrestling players) or just relying on match going to ground quickly and being settled by groundsubs?

Takedowns? that's usual BJJ Steve, you haven't been training at the right places.

"striking drills (focus pad work)" hehe, you don't know Andy very well. :-))

He's already had atleast one MMA fight and won, not gonna blow his trumpet, but that post made me laugh!

"I am fighting an opponent who I have lost to twice, in his home town, in front of his home crowd, in a promotion run by his former training partner and friend, where he will most likely know the ref and the officials, and now hes trying to dictate what weight the fight will go ahead at, even going so far as to tell me what weight I can and cannot fight at?"

Andy, you really know how to piss him off, don't you ? :-))

.....i"n his home town"....."in a promotion run by his former training partner and friend"....

I take it this is Ross's event being held in Sheffield?

Wasn't there a Vid of your semi-pro fight with him....I seem to remember watching some of it, but it was taking so long to download.....

And how come the challenge and you accepting it....you have nothing to prove (if I remember the semi-pro match up was the result of a mistake by the organisers where you were supposed to be sub-grappling).

To me there is no glory (& no sense) in fighting MMA, it just brings high risk of injury (big head shots, guilotines, spine locks) for little reward (£50 and a plastic trophy).

IMO better to stick to competing in what you enjoy & carries low risk & who gives a sh1t what anyone thinks of you for doing so.

it wasnt a mistake last time, he wouldnt fight me amatuer so we ought semi pro, i took it on a weeks notice to help out the promoter.

its not on ross' show no

it is in sheffield, which is no longer my honme town.

its for more than £50 and a plastic trophy

i wanted to sub him last time, so i will do it this time.

I cant post on sfuk so will post here instead.

Wots all this crApp about weight issues? If your gonna fight just fight, instead of wondering who weighs a midges d!ck more than the other! Afterall you do train in the style where apparantly weight dont matter. The art for the small guy to beat the big guy.

This is for both guys.
