Rob,

Just read your post about leavin Sheffield and going to Newcastle and that you couldn't find a decent place to train BJJ. I was at uni in Sheffield but finished last year and returned to Newcastle where I'm originally from. Anyway, there are a few clubs up here with Blue Belts from Alliance Jiu Jitsu (dunno whether u heard of them) but let me know if you want to know times and locations etc

Dave Elliott is the man for BJJ in the north. Forget Steve Muckle, forget pheonix, forget any Alliance blue belts. JUST TRAIN WITH DAVE!!!

3 stripe blue belt under Royce Gracie.

pain is temporary, pride is forever.

If you're up here in Newcastle and you don't know Dave Elliot you need to get out more. :o)

I'm certainly not looking for anywhere else since finding Dave's class, and Jesmond will just be training on a sunday when Dave dunt have a class on.

Cheers for that Rob, my BJJ is limited because I'm up in Aberdeen for uni so only get to train here when I'm back, there's nothing up there!!

Where and when are Dave's classes in Jesmond?

Dave Elliot runs classes at Wallsend Boy Club (shut it marc! :o)

His classes are Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat 7:00-8:30 although you can go half an hour and leave abt half an hour late, so 2.5hrs for a fiver, or £40/month, which ever works out best for ya.

The club in Jesmond is with Steve Muckle and a few others just rolling, not really a proper club, and you don't stand a chance getting in there to train, hell, it took me 6 weeks!

Felt like 'Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructors from Hell!' :-p

You'd be more than welcome at Dave Elliot's classes tho.

From the Monument, get the Metro to Wallsend, walk up Station Road and after abt 5-10 minutes you walk past it, can't miss it.
