U.M.A. British Open 'With Gi' Groundfighting Championships.

Date: Saturday 4th September 2010.

Venue: Fenton Manor Sports Complex, City Road,

Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire ST4 2RR.

As always here at any U.M.A.Championship Event, everyone is guaranteed a minimum of 2 Contests.

Bleacher Seating for 500+ people.

Dedicated Warm up Area for all Fighters.

Coach's Chairs on each Contest area for Coach's only etc.

The Venue also has a Cafe and a Swimming Pool, so you can even have a swim and something to eat after your contest, should you want to.

Free Parking on site at the Venue.

Professional On Site Event Photography so you can get that most important pic of your fight/s or podium pic etc, there and then on the day or order on line etc.


Competitor Entry Fees:

Juniors: £15 if registration on line is before Sunday 29th August 9.00pm.

Adults: £20 if registered on line before Sunday 22nd August @ 9pm.

Adults: £25 if registration on line is from 9.01pm Sunday 22nd August to the Closing Date of Sunday 29th August 9.00pm.

Or once we have achieved 200 On line Registrations/Entries, then all Entries and On line Registration will close regardless of the closing date etc.


No Entries will be accepted after the Closing Date or on the Day of the Championships, so please don't ask as we do not want to offend anyone etc.

All Divisions, Brackets and Weigh In times etc, will be posted on the U.M.A. Website Monday 30th August., a link to the page etc, will be posted on this thread.

If you are an experienced Referee; BJJ, Grappling or Groundfighting etc, 'Gi' or 'No Gi' and would like to help Referee at this Prestigious Event, please contact the U.M.A., either via pm here on the forum or by email: uma@umauk.co.uk.


We will be running either 3 or 4 Contest Areas, and would like any volunteers to help and assist etc, all Officials and Referee's here at the U.M.A. are very well looked after, there is the obligatory Free access to the Ref's and Officials Chill out Room, Free Hot and Cold Refreshments available all day, and real quality home made Fresh Cold Buffet Food, sandwiches, cakes, rolls, pastries, snacks etc, etc, etc, available all day, and are also paid, to help toward they're expenses for volunteering they're time too etc., and you will be right at the heart of the action as it happens...
