im 13, and i want to start jujitsu,wat type would be best, bjj or tjj, or should should i start with tjj and then move on to bjj. plz reply, thnx

Hey slipknot, welcome to the site.

As for what you start with, it's always best to go and visit a few clubs and see what they do, ya never know, you might rather do Judo after seeing it for yourself.

There's no right or wrong answers to something like this, it's all down to you, and what you think you'll enjoy the most, and hey, even after a month of training, if you find you don't like it, then just try a different one.

As for if TJJ teaches punches and kicks, yes, it teaches everything (that's why people enjoy it, cos you don't get bored), so you'll learn punches, kicks, throws, joint-locks, groundfighting, weapons, etc.

My mate used to have the computer game Asterix on the Atari (ST, not console), although it looked pants - think he lent it to me, i only kept it for a couple of weeks to act like i appreciated it! :-p

As for Trey, he's lerking around here somewhere- if you're in the same neck of the woods it'd be worth having a chat to see where he trains.
