While it really doesn't matter and I'm sure there are elements of both Jujitsu and Judo in BJJ...isnt it funny how Jiu-Jitsu is really much more like Judo in terms of matwork (ne-waza)? It would make sense since Maeda was a kodokan judo master.

Isn't it interesting that leg locks are so rare in the UFC? Giving their submission game similarities to Judo Newaza?

I wouldn't say they're that rare, but position is always the key, and you obviously don't wanna be near someones feet or legs during any kind of fight.

true...you often sacrafice position while going for a leglock, could be a mistake
