I'm wondering, does BJJ focus solely upon ground work? Because, looking through what yo guys have been talking about you don't mention any throws.

Throws and takedowns are definately included, just the majority of training for some clubs is primarily groundfighting.

From your name I assume that judo was your previous style? BJJ doesn't focus on throws as much as judo, but in order to submit someone you have to first know how to get him down. :-P
